"Something in the Air" depicts a moment in time when change is expected.  It is said, the only certainty in life is change.  Change often has a negative connotation because we like things to be predictable and we desire to have control over our lives, but the reality is the only control we really have is over the choices we make and the reaction to life's events that we choose to make.  We have a choice to look for good things in others, or to look for the negative.  We have a choice to react negatively or positively to the inevitably unexpected events of daily life on planet earth.  This painting expresses my determination to acknowledge the unexpected around each corner, yet to embrace it with the expectation that I will find gratitude within each plot twist I uncover and seek the positive in others, despite the challenge this may present.
